    You might already be aware that the federal government of the United States, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has already lifted any restrictions related to COVID-19 for all international travelers.

    From now on, you do not require any COVID negative test to travel in the United States. Anyone can freely enter the United States with a valid passport and visa. 

    Hawaii has also ended its COVID restrictions on the 25th of March 2022. As per the official website of the Hawaii tourism authority, anyone arriving on 26th March 2022 or beyond will no longer have to require a complete safe travel application to enter Hawaii.

    The governor of Hawaii has already passed a faster resolution that has ended the restrictions such that domestic travelers are no longer required to show any proof of the COVID-19 vaccine.

    At the same time, domestic travelers also do not have to provide any COVID negative test record or upload any trip information online before they enter Hawaii.

    Just like other states of the United States, Hawaii also depends on the federal government for international travel updates.

    On its official website, the Hawaii travel authority has written that every international traveler must follow the rules and regulations updated by the federal government related to entering the country. 

    The federal government of the United States has recently lifted any international travel restrictions related to COVID-19.

    As per the latest updates, anyone with a valid passport and visa can enter the United States without showing any proof related to COVID negative test report whatsoever.

    Previously, it was mandatory to present COVID negative test report not older than 24 hours before the boarding of the flight. 

    Several organizations related to the travel industry in the United States were criticizing this move and asked the White House and other health officials to lift these restrictions as early as possible.

    We all know that every industry in the world suffered when governments around the world started putting restrictions on movement. Most of those industries have already revived, and their business is booming like ever before.

    But, the travel industry is still struggling in the world, including in the United States. Back in 2019, the travel industry in the United States was estimated at around 1.3 trillion U.S. dollars. 

    The revenue of the travel industry dropped to just 81 billion U.S. dollars back in 2021. With the latest updates, the whole industry is very hopeful of reviving itself and going to pre-pandemic levels.

    • There are so many items that have been restricted by the Hawaii department of agriculture. You should not bring these things to Hawaii as it can put up stress on species and natives. 
    •  Kindly do not bring your pet on Hawaiian vacation as it can be tricky. The Hawaiian state has strict laws regarding pet animals, and if you don’t have the necessary vaccinations for your pets, the activities are going to quarantine your pet at the airport. 

    Current COVID situation in Hawaii

    Similar to the United States, Hawaii is also recording more cases of COVID-19 compared to the last 30 days.

    Most health experts in the mainland have already declared that current cases of COVID-19 are the 6th wave of COVID. A similar situation is in Hawaii also.

    In the last 30 days, Hawaii has been recording around 800 to 1000 positive cases of COVID-19, but the situation is well under control as compared to January 2022.

    Back in January 2022, Hawaii was recording around 4500 cases, also COVID 19 each day. The daily post cases peaked at around 6000 on the 18th of January 2022.

    After that, the situation is well under control, and the Centers for Disease Control and prevention do not have any specific warnings or guidelines for people traveling to Hawaii.

    If you look at the data related to the novel coronavirus vaccine, then you will find that at least 87% of the total population has already received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

    At the same time, more than 78% of people are fully vaccinated, which means that 78 people out of 100 have already received two primary doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

    Do I have to carry a mask during my Hawaiian trip?

    No, you do not have to carry a mask during your Hawaiian trip. It is not mandatory to use masks while you are indoors in Hawaii. The previous restrictions have already been uplifted by the governor from 25th March 2022. In the official notification, it was mentioned that anyone traveling in Hawaii on or after the 26th of March 2022 would not be required to use a mask while in indoor or outdoor settings, but you should follow all the guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and prevention for your safety.
